How to install laminate flooring on ceiling. To install a laminated plank ceiling follow these steps. Be sure to attach. Laminate flooring planks install with a tongue and groove system so each plank has a tongued side and a grooved side.
Then rotate down to lock. During installation place a full carton of planks or something equally heavy across the end of the row being installed to keep the planks in place. Place your first laminate flooring plank in the upper right corner of the wall.
Determine the width of the first row of planks to make the first and last rows equal. Upgrade the ceiling of any space by installing laminate plank. To close the gap on the long side lift the outside edge of the plank about an inch and push in firmly until the edges meet.
To insure your laminate flooring stays securely in place you should secure the planks to the wall in the location of the studs. Decide which direction the ceiling joists run and snap a chalk line perpendicular to the joists every 16 inches across. Using a stud finder locate and mark the location of each stud.
Unpack the planks and leave in the room to acclimate to the climate for at least 24 hours before installation.
