A laundry riser in case you weren t aware is a platform that lifts washing machines and dryers off the floor. However some washing machines have the same type of adjustable legs in the rear as they do in the front. The last thing you want happening is for the washer dryer toppling over.
Most washing machines have self leveling rear legs. Measure the length and width of the washing machine with a tape measure and cut a rectangular piece of 5 8 inch plywood with a circular saw that is longer and wider by about 2 inches. To install the stand must first be put into position and made level and the washer or dryer is placed on it.
Two 25 for the length and four 13 for the height. There are front loader washer stands available which raise the washer or dryer about 38cm off the floor and sometimes have a lockable drawer for storage. The four 13 would serve as the leg support.
As an added bonus it can also provide handy storage space below the platform. It s especially great for front loaders as it raises the drum to allow for easier access perfect for the elderly and pregnant. Whatever you put under make sure it is stable.
While furniture risers are ideal for lifting a bed up off of the floor they may not be stable and sturdy enough to hold your heavy washing machine and dryer. Once you get the appliance level from side to side have a second person help you tip it forward so the rear legs lift off the floor by three or four inches. Note 25 is the length because the plywood was about an inch thick.
